Tactical Advantage formed in 2003 to help central Minnesotans prepare to obtain permits to carry and provide safe firearms training. Our focus has always been your safety.
In 2014 – after more than ten years of being a mobile classroom – we purchased the former Lynbrook Collision Center in Waite Park and opened an indoor shooting range with 8 lanes and classroom space where we now offer a full-service range with gun rentals, retail sales, and training classes for all experience levels!
Over the years, we’ve helped hundreds of civilians receive their permit to carry and retired/separated law enforcement officers obtain their HR218 permit to carry (LEOSAIA). Don’t feel intimidated about contacting us; most people who attend our classes and come to our range are civilians and are eager to learn. Come inside the range where the environment is controlled, it’s warm in the winter, and there aren’t any bugs in the summer.
Tactical Advantage and various instructors belong to a number of professional groups, including the National Rifle Association (NRA), National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF), United States Practical Shooting Association (USPSA), St. Cloud Area Practical Shooter’s Association (SCAPSA), United States Conceal and Carry Association (USCCA), Glock Sport Shooting Foundation (GSSF), Armed Citizen Legal Defense Network (ACLDN), NRA Business Alliance, American Suppressor Association (ASA), and St. Cloud Area Chamber of Commerce.
