Our class is content based and is not meant for those with little to no firearm experience.  (beginners should start with our Introduction to Handgun class)  Tactical Advantage has developed this curriculum and has been approved as meeting the requirements of the Minnesota Personal Protection Act of 2005 (Permit to Carry a Pistol in Minnesota). \nCourse Fee:\n$105.10 which includes lecture materials and range time.  Pre-registration and pre-payment is required to secure your spot in class. \nEquipment Needed:\nGood quality centerfire handgun (no rimfire) and at least 50 rounds of ammunition\, eye protection\, ear protection. DESCRIPTION:This is at least a 2.5-3-hour course where students will learn about the most common/popular type of handgun platform and function as well as practical storage\, handling and practicing techniques that you can put to use in your home and at the range. Our focus is always on personal safety. Students will be taught firearm safety rules\, primary causes of firearm accidents\, handgun components\, safe storage options and basic shooting fundamentals. Whether you are considering a possible future purchase\, or you already have firearms in your home; you need to be comfortable and knowledgeable in order to be safe. We finish the class with students shooting 20 rounds from a .22 caliber pistol on the range. Students are encouraged to provide their own ear and eye protection. Students under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a registered/paid guardian in the same class. Students must be at least 12 years of age. \nCost is $60 plus tax.

SUMMARY:Handgun Skill Builder Hour
DESCRIPTION:These sessions are designed for those students who have learned the fundamentals of shooting and firearms safety and are wondering\, “What next? How do I get better?”  We get asked this often from new and experienced shooters alike who want to continue improving.  It could be accuracy\, target acquisition\, speed\, trigger finger discipline\, etc. etc.  Whatever your goal\, we will assist you in improving your fundamentals from your current level. \nShooters should have taken our Intro To Handgun and Next Steps classes\, or have the minimum equivalent skill set to register for these sessions.  Each Skill Builder hour is limited to four shooters with lots of individualized instruction based on your personal skill set.  We will do a basic review of firearm safety and shooting fundamentals\, and then move onto the range for evaluation and practice.  Before concluding\, shooters will receive instruction and demonstration of different training drills that can be practiced at home and at the range to improve their skills from where they are currently.  With specific drills\, you can monitor your progress and shooting proficiency with the goal of improving your accuracy and/or speed with each shooting session. \nSill Builder Hours: $75.00 plus tax. \nEquipment Needed: ear/eye protection\, minimum of 100 rounds of ammunition\, functioning/safe handgun or revolver\, and 2 handgun magazines
