Our class is content based and is not meant for those with little to no firearm experience.  (beginners should start with our Introduction to Handgun class)  Tactical Advantage has developed this curriculum and has been approved as meeting the requirements of the Minnesota Personal Protection Act of 2005 (Permit to Carry a Pistol in Minnesota). \nCourse Fee:\n$105.10 which includes lecture materials and range time.  Pre-registration and pre-payment is required to secure your spot in class. \nEquipment Needed:\nGood quality centerfire handgun (no rimfire) and at least 50 rounds of ammunition\, eye protection\, ear protection. Students who need to rent a handgun can do so for $15.00 plus the purchase of ammunition (50 rounds) to complete the practical test.  RDS (Trijicon RMR\, Sig Sauer Romeo etc.) are allowed.

DESCRIPTION:This is at least a 2.5-3-hour course where students will learn about the most common/popular type of handgun platform and function as well as practical storage\, handling and practicing techniques that you can put to use in your home and at the range. Our focus is always on personal safety. Students will be taught firearm safety rules\, primary causes of firearm accidents\, handgun components\, safe storage options and basic shooting fundamentals. Whether you are considering a possible future purchase\, or you already have firearms in your home; you need to be comfortable and knowledgeable in order to be safe. We finish the class with students shooting 20 rounds from a .22 caliber pistol on the range. Students are encouraged to provide their own ear and eye protection. Students under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a registered/paid guardian in the same class. Students must be at least 12 years of age. \nCost is $60 plus tax.

DESCRIPTION:Join us for a fun league competition at 1:00pm or 6:00pm. The same courses of fire will be shot at both time slots. \nAlthough our fall league hasn’t started yet\, this will be the perfect opportunity to dust off your competition handgun and warm-up for fall or try out a league competition for the first time. This event is open to handguns and PCC with a max of 90 rounds. We will have a range brief and course of fire explanations before heading onto the range with time to get your questions answered.  If you have been wondering what a shooting league is all about\, this is your opportunity to try it out before league season begins.  New league competitors and experienced competitors are welcome! \nEquipment Required: properly functioning firearm\, 3 magazines (magazine pouches optional)\, eye/ear protection\, holster not needed\nEvent Fee: $27.00 (no additional league registration)

DESCRIPTION:https://tacticaladvantagemn.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/TAPS-Dec-square.mp4\n  \nTACTICAL ADVANTAGE PRACTICAL SHOOT \nPractical shoot\, indoor environment.  Our course of fire will take your skills to the next level while you incorporate time\, shot placement\, barricades\, movement and friendly competition!!  Handgun or PCC welcome. \nEach participant will need ear and eye protection\, 100 rounds of ammunition\, handgun\, three magazines\, belt and a carry holster.  (centerline to hip position) Magazine pouches for the two extra magazines will be helpful.  If anyone is interested in shooting a PCC\, we can discuss those equipment specifics individually.  Each shooter can expect to run through the course at least two or three times. \nRegistrations are limited.\nStop in or call (320) 230-1911 with questions. \nCost is $57 plus tax \n
