SUMMARY:MN Permit to Carry Class (range closed approx. 12:30pm-1:30pm)
DESCRIPTION:This is at least a 4-hour course involving classroom and range time. Students will be taught basic defensive handgun skills/tactics\, mindset and attitude necessary in order to defend themselves or the life of another from a violent confrontation. Our class also reviews safe gun handling skills and provides education regarding the use of force\, including deadly force as it pertains to self-defense in Minnesota\, as well as other aspects of firearms and the law. Our class is content based and is not meant for those with little to no firearm experience.  (beginners should start with our Introduction to Handgun class)  Tactical Advantage has developed this curriculum and has been approved as meeting the requirements of the Minnesota Personal Protection Act of 2005 (Permit to Carry a Pistol in Minnesota). \nCourse Fee:\n$105.10 which includes lecture materials and range time.  Pre-registration and pre-payment is required to secure your spot in class. \nEquipment Needed:\nGood quality centerfire handgun (no rimfire) and at least 50 rounds of ammunition\, eye protection\, ear protection. Students who need to rent a handgun can do so for $15.00 plus the purchase of ammunition (50 rounds) to complete the practical test.  RDS (Trijicon RMR\, Sig Sauer Romeo etc.) are allowed.

DESCRIPTION:This class is designed to challenge your speed and accuracy using an AR/MSR (Modern Sporting Rifle).  It is NOT a beginner’s class.  A basic understanding of the AR/MSR shooting platform is required to keep up in the class with safety being the highest priority.  There will be some classroom instruction along with a variety of live fire drills on the range. Our goal is to increase your confidence while moving with the rifle in a dynamic range environment as well as transitioning between pistol/rifle\, challenge your individual skill level\, and improve overall rifle operation. \nIt is highly recommended that firearm owners read the owner’s manual for their firearm to learn the unique features and operation of their particular model. DESCRIPTION:This is at least a 2.5-3-hour course where students will learn about the most common/popular type of handgun platform and function as well as practical storage\, handling and practicing techniques that you can put to use in your home and at the range. Our focus is always on personal safety. Students will be taught firearm safety rules\, primary causes of firearm accidents\, handgun components\, safe storage options and basic shooting fundamentals. Whether you are considering a possible future purchase\, or you already have firearms in your home; you need to be comfortable and knowledgeable in order to be safe. We finish the class with students shooting 20 rounds from a .22 caliber pistol on the range. Students are encouraged to provide their own ear and eye protection. Students under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a registered/paid guardian in the same class. Students must be at least 12 years of age. \nCost is $60 plus tax.

Students will be taught basic defensive handgun skills/tactics\, mindset and attitude necessary in order to defend themselves or the life of another from a violent confrontation. Our class also reviews safe gun handling skills and provides education regarding the use of force\, including deadly force as it pertains to self-defense in Minnesota\, as well as other aspects of firearms and the law. Our class is content based and is not meant for those with little to no firearm experience.  (beginners should start with our Introduction to Handgun class)  Tactical Advantage has developed this curriculum and has been approved as meeting the requirements of the Minnesota Personal Protection Act of 2005 (Permit to Carry a Pistol in Minnesota). \nCourse Fee:\n$105.10 which includes lecture materials and range time.  Pre-registration and pre-payment is required to secure your spot in class. \nEquipment Needed:\nGood quality centerfire handgun (no rimfire) and at least 50 rounds of ammunition\, eye protection\, ear protection. Students who need to rent a handgun can do so for $15.00 plus the purchase of ammunition (50 rounds) to complete the practical test.  RDS (Trijicon RMR\, Sig Sauer Romeo etc.) are allowed.
